Kavala marbles belong to the category of calcareous and semi-white marbles. They are characterized by the “spider”, a thin line on their surface that looks like a break, and it is a special feature of most of them. They are quarried in the Kavala region and, thanks to the large supply, are considered the most affordable marble in Greece.
